Alexis Jaquin was born in Utah and raised in the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania.
Beginning at 8 years old, horse care and management became an integral and formative part of her life.
Beginning at 8 years old, horse care and management became an integral and formative part of her life.
Alexis has had the opportunity to train with, work for, and study under some truly incredible horse folk and manage her own small farm and ranch in the NW Oregon coast range prior to coming to Sedona Sky Academy in August of 2021.
Having experienced many of the hardships of navigating adolescence in less-than-ideal
conditions, Alexis has always been drawn to creating stimulating programs for young people. She has graduate-level counseling and crisis intervention training, EAGALA and PATH equine therapy experience, and experience with a range of community engagement and leadership modalities. She is honored to bring the invaluable life lessons inherent in quality horsemanship to the Sedona Sky students and their families respectively.

Alexis currently lives on-site with her two beautiful daughters, ages 6 and 3. She’s most happy being outside- whether that be caring for and riding horses, growing food and flowers, exploring in the wilderness, or of course, playing with her kiddos as much as possible.
