Jason Metzger, M.Ed. Executive Director

For 20 years, Jason has had the privilege of helping young people maximize strengths, overcome struggles and reach their true potential. He believes that with high expectations, a supportive environment and rich instruction, each individual can be successful.

 After beginning his career in education as a Teaching Fellow at the Dunn School in California, Jason has worked at three independent schools and one charter school as an English and social studies instructor. Jason has also had the opportunity to mentor students and lead staff as the Assistant Principal at Oak Creek Ranch School.

 For the past 9 years, Jason has helped hundreds of young ladies reconnect with their true selves as an Instructor and Assistant Principal at Sedona Sky Academy.

 Prior to his career as an educator, Jason graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Political Science. He worked at Park City Ski Resort as he furthered his education with a Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

 Jason marks his greatest accomplishment as marrying his wife, Debbie, 12 years ago. When not at work, Jason loves to spend time with his three boys Max, Ben and Luke, enjoying life on the trails and playing fields of Sedona.

 Jason feels it is an honor and great opportunity to be entrusted with helping the young ladies at Sedona Sky, and tries to challenge each individual with a rigorous curriculum, complimented by his humor and compassion. As the poet William Butler Yeats stated, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” Jason can’t think of a better life choice than to inspire the embers of these amazing minds.
